Originally born Daniel Knop, I studied at the Drummers Institute (Best Student Award 2004/2005) and later graduated from ArtEZ University of the Arts in Arnhem (NL), where I focused on jazz and pop drums.

For over 25 years, I’ve been a versatile and passionate musician, performing and recording with artists across a wide range of genres. I’ve worked as a live and studio drummer, and published the educational video “Ableton Live für Drummer” in 2009.

I’m currently based in Wuppertal, Germany, where I live with my wife Erin, our twins Emily and Ian, and our cat Tobi.
